    Unanswered: MSSQL to Oracle DTS

    Gud morning techies,

I would like to ask for a lil help as reg to DTS
I use MSSQL 2005 and I want to transfer data from set of table to Oracle 10g.
I tried making DTS using SSI but I was not able to connect to Oracle. I tried using Database migration tool. Using the tool i can easily transfer the data. But i want to automate the process..can anybody throw me some light on that.

    cheers...

    Sure

Create a pipe delimited view for each table, bcp out the views, and use PLSQL SQLLoader in Oracle

The physical order of data in a database has no meaning.

Figure out why you can't connect to Oracle, and fix that so that you can connect to it. I'm pretty sure that the connectivity problem is easy to fix and that it is the bulk of your problem.

In theory, theory and practice are identical. In practice, theory and practice are unrelated.
