    Unanswered: Import Access 2010 Report into SSRS 2005

    Good day,

    I have been asked to re-write an existing system that is in Access 2010 and have everything now .NET and SQL Server. The tables I have successfully moved but I am battling to import the reports. In my SSRS 2005 I only have an option to import from mdb or adb files not accdb that is 2010 Access.

    Can anyone please help?

    Hi Plsh

    I don't tested it, but you can try:
    1. Launch Ms Access.
    2. Choose "Menu" -> "Options".
    3. Set Default database format to "Access 2002 -2003".
    4. Create new empty db.
    5. Import all interested objects from acddb db.

    Regards
    Mike

    I also thought that was a good idea but not too sure if it is perhaps how the person originally created the reports or whatever, but this didn't work either. So I think to save time I will start the long process of redoing each report manually in SSRS.

    You ought to be able to "downgrade" your ACCDB file into an ADB file using MS Access 2010, but I haven't actually tried doing it. If you can't do that, then I'd probably recreate the reports too.

    In theory, theory and practice are identical. In practice, theory and practice are unrelated.

    Thanks all, tried all those suggestions already but no luck, created the report manually in the end.
