    Unanswered: db2 health monitor issue

    Hi,

Checked and found that a process is running from last 5 hours..

Query getting executed. : CALL SYSPROC.SYSINSTALLOBJECTS('POLICY','V','','')

i have tried to kill the process from db2 end as well as from os but its still showing me.

Any idea how to terminate this process or why it is taking so much of time??

Are you sure it is _running_, not waiting on a lock? How is it a "health monitor issue"?

Did you try restarting the instance? Is health_mon dbm cfg enabled? Please open a pmr if you need to debug this. I can try to take a look if you collect "db2pd -latches" (execute 3 times, several min apart).

Its a production db so i cannot restart instance @working hours.

yesterday also we faced same issue at time for backup activity.

we have tried db2 force application all and db2stop force but none of them worked. atlast we used ipclean to restart instance.

health_mon dbm cfg is set to ON.

Will provide you output of db2pd -latches shortly.
