    Unanswered: Beginners to POS system setup

    Hi everyone, I am making a simple POS system that keeps track of products, invoices, customers, and basic others. I would like to, under the product listings form, have a select a product category and then after that, a dropdown of the list of items in that product category.

    I know it is simple but I need something to job my memory a bit

    The concept is called "cascading comboboxes" although the exact same thing applies to Listboxes with the MultiSelect Property set to None, and the code is interchangeable. Here are a couple of links with examples:

    thank you that helps.

    I ran into a problem. So I can scroll through all the records and the
    product category (combo box)
    product code (text)
    product description (text)
    color description (combo box)
    size description (combo box)

    are all correct. But when I try to add a record I cannot input a product category and code. I get the message "Join key of tblproductA not in recordset"
