Exclamation Unanswered: Online reorg while heavy load on db

hi All,
Please suggest, is it a good idea to run online reorg and runstats while there is a heavy load on db (websites, applications, batch updates and user queries running )...we are running yearend batch and performance is very low..
OR it will highly degrade the performance.
db2 version: 8.2
OS: AIX 5.2

Regards,
Harsh V.

These operations are going to use resources (CPU, Mem, IO) so if you're alraedy experiencing poor performance under heavy load then running them at peak time isn't going to help. Even though they are online it's still best to try and schedule them for a quieter window if possible... also make sure you need to run them ... has the data changed a lot? Does REORGCHK indicate they need reorging? etc. No point REORGING the same large tables every day if they've hardly changed....
