Unanswered: From SQL server to Data feed in and pull out

    Hello ,

I am looking for someway to build the application or front end which pull the data out from the SQL database and also feed the new data in. I am not a programmer but my manager wants me to devlop something so we can use SQL database insted of Access database.

Looking any idea for how I can finish this task ? which way I can go is there any software out there that I can use to link sql database to pull the data in and out. Or I have to go through programming path. Which programming will help me easy way to finish this task?

    Looking for expert opinion.

    Thank you in advance

Displaying data is realatively easy with reporting services. Taking updates is not possible with reporting services, so you are looking at developing a whole web application. Tell your manager, you will need to take a few courses.

Do you have SQL Server installed somewhere already?

If not, you can a free version here..it has it's limitations

Free Database Software | Database Applications | SQL Server Express

And you need to give us some more info on what the boss wants?

A Web app? M$ Access talking to SQL Server?

    Bret,

We hae a SQL server installed and I already migrate data from Access database to SQL server and I am able to run the qurey and get the report but My boss wants user to run the report and add delete and update the data. Like web portal or any kind of frond end so they don't have to go in sql server.

Please see attached database diagram and this will give you more idea.

    Thank you for your help.
