Unanswered: Making a subform blank when form is opened

    Hello,

As my first attempt to build an Access 2010 database, I've got a form with two combo boxes which filter first the institution and then the staff. Under this I have a subform which shows the linked (staff) notes.

This all works well apart from when I open the form, the subform shows all the notes. I would prefer this to be blank so any advice to sort this would be welcome.

    Thanks in advance,

    Pete

    Can you define "blank"?

So only the new record fields are shown.

    Thanks,

Among several solutions, you can dynamically connect the subform by using its RecordSource property, or you can dynamically load the subform using the SourceObject property of the subform/subreport control.

You want the subform blank and at the same time, new record fields are shown? Now that's pretty clear.
