    Question Unanswered: Filter report using a command button

    Greetings All!
    Before I get started I just want to let you know that I'm a complete noob to database so please forgive my ignorance. Here's what I'm trying to accomplish:

    Using Access 2010
    I have a report that I would like to filter using command buttons so that by clicking on a particular button, the report page will only show those entries that fall under that category; these are: active, inactive, positive, negative.

    any and all help would be GREATLY appreciated!

    You can use this technique:

    Open a second form to the record

    If your value isn't coming from someplace on the form, you can hard-code the value:

    "FieldName = 'Active'"
