Unanswered: Two LAN Cards for Network Traffic Control Advantage

What is the advantage of using two LAN Cards for network traffic control? Will this affect the performance of our database? Or it is just the same as for having only one LAN Card?

We are using single instance database. We have around 200-300 users.

    It depends.
If I had to place a bet, I would bet that installing second LAN card makes no performance difference.
You can lead some folks to knowledge, but you can not make them think.

We used a second LAN card for a few months. It made no measurable difference to performance.

If you're looking to increase performance look for the bottleneck, then get rid of it, then look for the next bottleneck & get rid of it; repeat until you're happy with performance.

@anacedent: I bet on that one too, thanks!

@cis_groupie: Thanks for your advise, loop until satisfied.
