Unanswered: incremental vs full backup execution time

We take database incremental backups Mon-Sat and full backups on Sun. The size of incremental backups is significantly less, but the execution time is almost the same as full. The backup parameters are all the same. Has anyone see this before?

It probably means you have a bottleneck in the database I/O subsystem but not in the backup media, as DB2 still needs to scan all non-free tablespace pages to determine which ones may have changed.
