    Lightbulb ERD design and relationships

    Hi friends,

    I need help with this question:

    Represent the following scenarios with E-R diagrams drawn using the ER Assistant software. The diagrams should indicate cardinality and optionality of relationships. (Note: relevant attributes are indicated in capitals). Document all relevant business rules. Do not include business rules that are implicit in the E-R diagram.

    1. Customers (CUSTNO, CUSTNAME, CUSTADDR) identified by CUSTNO order products identified by product number (PRODNO). Each order (ORDERNO, ORDERDATE) identified by ORDERNO can be for one or more products. Orders have one or more order lines. Quantity (QTY) and the price (PRICE) of each ordered product is recorded on the order lines. Products are stored in a warehouse. The location of products is identified by the combination of ROW, AISLE, and BIN.
    Only one product is stored in each location. The description (DESCRIPTION), standard price (STDPRICE), and quantity (QTYSTORE) is recorded for each product.

    Help? Please!

    sorry, you can't just post the assignment and ask us to do it for you

    make an effort, post your best attempt, and ask a specific question about something you did that you're not sure of

    What have you done so far?

    Where are you stuck?

    As mentioned, help forums are to provide - well, help. They are NOT to do your work for you

    Hey!!

    Here's what I've done so far:

    Customer
    CustNo
    CustName
    Cust Address

    =================

    Product
    ProductNo
    Description

    =================

    OrderLine (but I am putting this as a weak entity)
    QTY
    Price

    =================

    Order
    OrderNo
    Ord Date

    =================

    Location
    Row
    Aisle
    BIN

    =================

    Now I guess I have to connect them all and and the business rules.

    *add the business rules.

    Also, I'm not sure where the QTYSTORE should go? Would it go in the Product entity?

    you've missed a couple of data attributes, but yes, next step is to connect the entities

    I'm missing STDPRICE and QTYSTORE. Would these go into the Product entity?
