    Unanswered: Colour palette dialogue box needed

    Hi to everyone!

    I've trawled around down all sorts of avenues with this one. I have been tasked with fixing an Access 2007 database that is currently using the following code:

    Code:
    Private Sub Colour_Click()

    'Dim oDialog As Object
    Set oDialog = CreateObject("ComDlg.CommonDialog.1")
        With oDialog
           .ShowColor
          Me.ReferenceValueDescription = .Color

        End With
    Set oDialog = Nothing

    Me.Colour.BackColor = Me.ReferenceValueDescription

    End Sub
    This appears as though it was reliant on downloaded ActiveX that is no longer on the PC- 'ActiveX component cannot create object'. I've searched for a whole range of comdlg and mscomdlg files both on the pc and then looked for them online without luck. I've started off down the route of building it in from scratch. Is there an easy way to do this avoiding ActiveX? -The CommonDialog Class in the existing ActiveX list also gives the error 'The OLE server may not be registered.'

    This doesn't seem as easy as it should be! Any assistance much appreciated.

    Typical. I've just found this thread having used some different search keywords which looks like it works so I'll go with it!
