    Unanswered: Replace formula result to text

    Hi,

    I"m trying to find a way to convert the result of a formula to text, so that after the first calculation of the formula the result doesnt change, even if changes were made to cells that are part of the formula. Alternitvly, is there a way to copy the first result of the formula to a different cell so that it doesnt change again?

    I have an empty cell in A2.
    In B2 i put the following formula, so that as soon as there's an entry in A2, B2shows the time and date of that entry.
    =IF(A2=" ",,NOW())

    I would like to keep the first result of this formula (the first time that an entry was made into A2).

    Hope that there's a solution for it that doesnt include macros.

    Thanks a lot!

    I'm afraid the best you can hope for is to copy the cell, then paste the 'value' back on itself. This will replace the formula with the result of the formula.
