Unanswered: Db2 command editor closed but backend still processing

Hi there, i need some opinion/suggestion.

Im using db2 command editor (db2ce) as a query tool and mmy database is in As400 platform.
Lets say i have a query that take 10 mins to show the result. Somehow before 10 min, my db2ce window is closed accidentally or theres a LAN disconnected. But my query is still running at backend as400 and it takes alot of resources.
Is there a way that when db2ce close, job process backend also stop ?
Is there any settings in db2 command editor interface ?

    Thanks before.

this is correct and I had the same
db2 is not polling the agent as long as nothing to ship back - at that time db2 will cancel the result_set as client is not present anymore
you will have to display the running appl on I/series and kill the process

Good DBAs are not formed in a week or a month. They are created little by little, day by day. Protracted and patient effort is needed to develop good DBAs.

    Thanks przytula_guy.

"you will have to display the running appl on I/series and kill the process"

Does this mean i have to login to as400 system and find the job and kill it manually (endjob) ?

Based on your experience, what is a good query tool for as400 to avoid this kind of thing ?
