I'm building forms in Access linking to tables located on our SQL server.
Within our Database, we have linked tables.
I've noticed my VBA code is much faster when I create ADODB objects that interact with the SQL server, as opposed to Access' built-in objects interacting with the linked tables.
I'm looking for the pros and cons, in regards to data entry forms.
For instance, using the DAO, I am able to tap into all of Access' form navigation functions with a single line of code as opposed to having to do all kinds of crazy coding with the ADODB recordsets... This is a time-critical project, too.
Any help would be appreciated.
I'm a newbie to DBForums, Access and SQL.
