    need to know about normalization

I am really new to database design and I am trying to design a relational database for one of my projects. so far I know the steps of designing a relational database ARE:

    1. REQUIREMENT ANALYSIS
    2. DEVELOP A CONCEPTUAL DESIGN : that is design an Entity Relationship diagram

    3. LOGICAL DESIGN PHASE: covert that Entity Relationship Diagram into relational tables.

    4. Create the tables in into a DBMS such as Microsoft Sql Server.

so , my question is that in which phase should I use Normalization process?

that is should I use normalization process onto the relational tables in the LOGICAL Phase?

if conceptual design means an ER diagram, then that's where you do mormalization

if logical design means relational tables, then that's too late
