Database page size is default page size for new objects. Does not change any existing objects.

What I intent is -suppose my database(db2) page size is set to 4k..If thats the case i cannot create a tablespace having pagesize 8k or 32 k.So what i required now is how to alter the page size of database,so that i can alter the tablespace size too..?

It is the default page size. You can specify 4K, 8K, 16K, or 32K for any tablespace, providing you have a bufferpools with matchining page size.

Look in the manual for how to create a tablespace of whatever page size you want.

Forget about the database page size. it doesn't really exist and is a figment of you imagination.
