Unanswered: transparent LDAP for authentication (Linux)

    Hi ,

I am trying to configure LDAP authentication on db2 V9.7 FP 4 on Linux .
after setting DB2AUTH=OSAUTHDB i am not able to connect with local user or LDAP user.
is there anything else i need to do?

    error is
SQL30082N Security processing failed with reason "24" ("USERNAME AND/OR
    PASSWORD INVALID"). SQLSTATE=08001
i am sure password is correct ,as i a mable to login with that user or connect db in other instances.

if i am trying to connect without username and password with the instance owner its is fine.

    Any help

    Thanks
    Jumsheed

Which LDAP server are you using ?

Have you defined the userid (and any relevant groups) and the instance-owner in your LDAP-server?

i am not very sure about this step, how to do that?

Ensure that you are using the default Client Userid-Password Plugin (clnt_pw_plugin), Server Userid-Password Plugin (srvcon_pw_plugin) and Group Plugin (group_plugin).
