    Unanswered: Difference between SET INTEGRITY and refresh

    Hi,

    I am planning to create few MQTs. I was going through the IBM documentation.

    I am not really sure when to use the

    Code:
    db2 set integrity for table1 immediate checked
    or
    Code:
    REFRESH TABLE AST1;
    And also not sure if we could refresh a user maintained MQTs ?

    Appreciate reply.

    the both commands do not have the same purpose
    set integrity is to check/reset a table that is in check pending state (eg after load..)
    refresh = to refresh a mqt table
    REFRESH TABLE

    Good DBAs are not formed in a week or a month. They are created little by little, day by day. Protracted and patient effort is needed to develop good DBAs.
