    Unanswered: how to recover sysdba password in oracle

    Dear Team,

    I have forgotten my sysdba password and my database account has been blocked in oracle10g due to wrong password enter.Now I am not able log in.Any solution would be appreciated.

    Log in as SYS or SYSTEM & reset your password.
    90% of users' problems can be resolved by punching them - the other 10% by switching off their PCs.

    / as sysdba
    -- now logged into the DB as user SYS

    This login can only be done on the database server as the user that runs the database, typically oracle.

    As I mention in the thread I missed my sysdba password.Then could I login without password of sysdba.Could you please give some proper solution.

    SYSDBA is a privilege, not an account. Which account are you trying to log in with?
