    Question Unanswered: Combo item list column problem

    Dear All,

    I'm looking for a solution where I have a combo, control source from a table (Spares) having 2 columns (PartNo & PartName).

    Now what i want is that while choosing a spare from combo list PartNo shows nicely but PartName width is too long to display. So, I need a function to display PartName as Tooltip while selecting item list of combo.

    Is this possible??

    If yes please guide. If not, then an unbound field should display PartName. Please help!!

    1. The width of the list part of a combo can be larger than the width of its textbox part (see attachments).

    2. If you really want to, try this:
    Code:
    Private Sub Combo0_AfterUpdate()

        Me.Combo0.ControlTipText = Me.Combo0.Column(1)

    End Sub

    Thanks a lot Sinndho,
    Your snapshot solved some of my problem but not completely.
    Your code After Update does not solve my purpose.

    What's wrong with it? It precisely does what you were asking:
