Unanswered: cannot restore db from another pc
I am running Postgresql 9.2 on centos 6 x64
I am also running the same on a windows 7 pc
Both instances have the standard postgres user and
a user DBA with password identical on both
I created a db on the windows pc,
in PGadmin, connected with the database "mydata"
did Backup with format as tar, and user as DBA
exported / backed up with no errors.
FTP's to my Centos pc.
On Restore, I get this error:
/usr/bin/pg_restore --port 5432 --username "DBA" --dbname "worxinfo" --no-password --verbose "/home/stevek/Desktop/worxinfo.backup"
pg_restore: connecting to database for restore
pg_restore: [archiver (db)] connection to database "worxinfo" failed: fe_sendauth: no password supplied
pg_restore: *** aborted because of error
I also tried to restore the DB by exporting with postgres user and then restoring with postgres user, but get the same error.
What am I missng?
