Good DBAs are not formed in a week or a month. They are created little by little, day by day. Protracted and patient effort is needed to develop good DBAs.

    Exclamation

    Hi Team,

I have already used this site to download db2 version for linux.

    DB2 Express-C : db2_v101_linuxia32_expc.tar.gz (437MB)

But shown a error as below

./db2prereqcheck: line 100: cd: /DB2: No such file or directory
    ./db2prereqcheck: line 103: [: too many arguments
./db2prereqcheck: line 201: cd: /DB2: No such file or directory
    basename: extra operand `Cv'
Try `basename --help' for more information.
    dirname: extra operand `Express'
Try `dirname --help' for more information.
/DB2 Express Cv 10/expc/db2prereqcheck: line 100: cd: /DB2: No such file or directory

DBI1189E There has been an attempt to use db2prereqcheck
on an image for a platform that does not match the current platform
'Linux/x86-32' on which it is being run.

    Explanation:

    Possible causes include:

    - This DB2 install image is not valid for the current
    platform.

    - The current platform is not supported by DB2.

    User Response:

Install DB2 using the DB2 install image that corresponds
    with the current platform 'Linux/x86-32'.

    Note : I am using RHEL5(32bit)

There are certain prereqs required for DB2 that may not be automatically installed by RHEL5. Also, look at you installation log (probably in /tmp) for any errors found during installation.

Did you create the /DB2 directory?

The simplest answer I can think of is that the directory does not exist on the server.
