    Unanswered: export/import command in IBM Data Studio 3.1

    Hi, We have started using IBM Data Studio 3.1.1 instead of using DB2 Development/Control Center. I have been using export/import commands in DB2 but these commands seem not working in the Data Studio. Also, list tables and describe table commands are not working either.

    Is there a way to use these commands in IBM Data Studio. Thanks

    In DS 3.1.1 full client
    Administration Explorer
    choose table then right-click on it -> Unload data -> With export utility

    Paths are relative to server

    But the problem is I am writing a query and want to save the data in a text file like

    export to c:\july.csv of del
    select
    t01.fld1,
    t02.fld2,
    ---
    ---

    from file 1 join file 2 on
    --- = --
    etc

    If there is one table data to be dumped then it is not a big issue. Right now I am using linux to import or export data.

    You can also specify a join or any predicates in your export query...

    Data Source Explorer
    --> your connection (right click)
    -->New SQL Script
    Run method: Command Line Processor
    connect to _your_database_alias_
    export to your_path/file.del of del select... inner join...

    Click the Run button...
