IBM provides the Replication Centre ( a java based tool, runs on Windows or Linux).
You can configure replication for AIX by using a Windows or Linux workstation that has a db2 full client (or administration client) installed.

I should have written "IBM Data Server client" this includes the replication centre, at least for LUW at level v9.7.x

Refer to the Infocenter for details and instructions.

The Windows client can be used to control an AIX server.

The DB2 Data Server Client for 9.7. You can get it from the DB2 Fixpack site. Make sure you get 9.7 version of the Client (you can use latest fixpack of 9.7).

IBM Data Server Client includes all the functionality of IBM Data Server Runtime Client, plus functionality for database administration, application development, and client/server configuration.

    Capabilities include the following ones:
    • The ability to prune the IBM Data Server Client image to reduce the installation image size on the Windows operating system.
    • Replication tools to set up and administer all replication programs for Q replication and SQL replication. These tools are the Replication Center, the ASNCLP command-line program, and the Replication Alert Monitor tool. The Replication Center is available only on Linux and Windows operating systems.
    • First Steps documentation for new users.
    • Visual Studio tools.
    • Application header files.
    • Precompilers for various programming languages.
    • Bind support.
    • Samples and tutorials.

Assuming the DB2V x.x your running supports SQL replication.

    Here are some sample steps:

    1. Create a user account for Capture, Apply and Monitor.
    2. Bind Capture, Apply, Alert Monitor packages to the appropriate databases.
    3. Update ASN.IBMSNAP_MONPARMS w/ the appropriate relay/mail_server address
    a) On aix you can usually get this in /etc/sendmail.cf. Search for DS...the IP is what you want.
    4) Create a Buffer pool and appropriate tablespaces for replication.
    5) Determine your replication strategy: Push or Pull. Push is typically faster since it is block based.
    6) Create the necessary control tables for replication and apply the necessary grants so Capture and apply can read/write to these tables. Depending on strategy and infrastructure you might need to give apply some elevated privileges

You should be able to use the asnclp utility to generate and build your replication environment. I mgiht have missed somethings but do hope this helps you get started.
