You could use Distributed Data Facility (DDF), but it has to be configured by your DBA and DB2 Systems Programmer. Please discuss with your DB2 z/OS DBA or DB2 Systems Programmer.

Hopefully, they would tell you when you worked with them to get this done.

Run a query on the catalog tables in both regions directing the output to text files, then, run a compare utility on the text files to identify differences. You should develop at least 2 queries, one for the table columns, and one for the indexes and their columns.

I think he wants to compare the data in the two tables, not the DDL.

I was thinking DDL, but it doesn't matter. The export/unload and compare technique will work for any query, provided there's an ORDER BY or subsequent sort to guarantee the sequence.

    Hi,

Yes, I want to compare two tables. I can do through files but I don't want to use the to compare two regions tables.

I want a DB2 Query to compare same table in Different regions with using any file comparison.

    Hope my requirment is clear.

Thanks a lot for the reply

Not yet. . . You need to provide a more clear explanation.

First do you want to compare definitions or content?

Suggest you concern yourself with getting what is needed and not focus so much on what you don't want to do.
