Unanswered: ALL in a prompt for Business Objects

    Hello

    Can someone kindly help me

I am trying to write the correct syntext which will be loaded into Business objects and all the user to select from a list and also select "ALL" if the user wishes to show every value

    Here is my code:

    SELECT PATIENT_SPEC
    FROM TABLE_A

    WHERE PATIENT_SPEC IN @Prompt ('PATIENT_SPECIALTY','C'{'SURG';'UROL'},multi,cons trained)

    OR 'ALL' IN @Prompt('PATIENT_SPECIALTY','C',{'SURG';'UROL'},mu lti,constrained)

Could someone kindly help me write the correct syntex in the where clause or anywhere else in my statement

I have tried changing constrained to free and allowing the user to type in the word "ALL", but the figures did not add up to the appropriate amount

    Many Thanks
    Helen

    Hello

I managed to work it out yesturday and all I needed was a bracket around the AND and OR statement

    SELECT PATIENT_SPEC
    FROM TABLE_A

    WHERE (PATIENT_SPEC IN @Prompt ('PATIENT_SPECIALTY','C'{'SURG';'UROL'},multi,cons trained)

    OR 'ALL' IN @Prompt('PATIENT_SPECIALTY','C',{'SURG';'UROL'},mu lti,constrained))

    Thanks anyway

That doesn't make much sense (if what you posted is a complete WHERE clause) because there's no difference whether you write it as
    Code:
    where A or B
    or
    Code:
    where (A or B)
