Unanswered: Access user new to MySQL

In MS Access I use queries that summarize data in order to build the final query I want. In Access I can use Queries in my Queries. I'm new to MySQL. Do I have to INSERT these queries into tables in order to then query them the way I have in the past?

    Many thanks.

no, you can still write queries inside of queries, by using views

    so you could have
    Code:
    CREATE VIEW query1
    AS
    SELECT ... FROM ...
    and then you can use
    Code:
    SELECT ... FROM query1 ...

Thanks so much, I'm surprised I hadn't found this yet.
For my purpose, I needed to use:

    CREATE OR REPLACE VIEW query1
    AS
    SELECT ... FROM ...
