Unanswered: db2 migration from 8.2 to 9.7 (having sql replication))

We are planning to migrate db2 8.2 to 9.7 in AIX 5.3.
SQL Replication is happening in the environment, my question is that.. what will happen to the replication if I only migrate source server, will it keep on running or I need to migrate the target server also at the same time.

I would recommend to have control tables on source server and keep capture/apply on source server. apply only needs to connect to target and execute the modif
no maintenance of control tables on old version.. but migrate the control tables to new version on source..

Good DBAs are not formed in a week or a month. They are created little by little, day by day. Protracted and patient effort is needed to develop good DBAs.
