Exclamation Unanswered: is runstats required after migration ??

    Hi All,
We have tested db2 migration from version 8.2 to 9.7 (by restoring the offline backup of 8.2 to 9.7) and after that when we tested our batch jobs we were getting junk data but after runstats we got the correct data.

And when I un-installed db2 9.7 and again installed 8.2 and restored the same backup again ,we again got junk data and after runstats we got correct data.....have i missed something....I am facing this issue for the first time and dont know how to cope up with the issue...any help would be largely appreciated

    DB :- db2 8.2 fp 12
    OS:- AIX 5.3

with or without runstats : you should always get the same data (faster or slower) if not modified in between
    junk data : ??

Good DBAs are not formed in a week or a month. They are created little by little, day by day. Protracted and patient effort is needed to develop good DBAs.
