    Unanswered: [HY010] [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager]

    Hello.

    I get this error:

ERROR [HY010] [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] The driver is incapable of supporting the current environment attributes.

    when making a IDbConnection.Open().

My machine is Win 7 64, the ODBC is configured as a System DSN using TimesTen client driver.

My collegues have the same setup but never seen the error, we've been trying to solve it for two days, any help is welcome.

Exact same setup produces same results.
Different results occur when setup is different.
Do you have error of commission or error of omission?
You can lead some folks to knowledge, but you can not make them think.
The average person thinks he's above average!
For most folks, they don't know, what they don't know.

In this case my setup and/or configuration must have something different, the problem has been finding out what.

The steps are installing TimesTen x64, Oracle Client x64, configuring the two System DSNs, getting the Visual Studio 2010 from svn, configure IIS and run.

The website runs, only when accessing certain pages that use those ODBC it fails.

Oracle RDBMS does not know or care about the "flavor" (ODBC, JDBC, OCI, etc.) client connecting to it.
This client is mis-configured in some manner, shape or form.

Sorry but I'm not understanding your question.

What I'm trying to find is the misconfiguration.

The error appears when trying to open a connection.

Thank you for the google link, I already tried that before I posted in this forum, and two other who even appear on the google search, unfortunately without an answer to this point.

I searched in google, so did my colleagues, we tried installing and uninstalling several times, trying different orders, configurations and downloads.

Almost three days have passed and still not close to getting it sorted out.

Google also gives the meaning to the "Do you have error of commission or error of omission?" But I am not able to answer if I'm doing too much or too little.

For the meanwhile I'll continue to try and find the problem and would welcome any tips and/or solution that may help me with that.
