    Question Unanswered: DB2 expiry date issue

    When i entered the command db2licm -l it's showing

    Expiry date : ""Product not registered". It mean my db2 software works or not.
    Or it is a trail version. Please give me a reply. Thanks in advance.

    Please provide the entire output of db2licm -l, and also db2level.

    DB2 expiry date issue

    C:\Documents and Settings\work>db2level
    DB21085I Instance "DB2" uses "32" bits and DB2 code release "SQL09070" with level identifier "08010107".
    Informational tokens are "DB2 v9.7.0.441", "s090521", "NT3297", and Fix Pack "0".
    Product is installed at "C:\PROGRA~1\IBM\SQLLIB" with DB2 Copy Name "DB2COPY1".

    Product name: "DB2 Enterprise Server Edition"
    License type: "License not registered"
    Expiry date: "License not registered"

    I don't know what that means. But I would upgrade to the latest fixpack, since you are on fixpack 0.

    You probably have an evaluation version, if I remember correctly it will function for 90 days. Since 9.x IBM put an hard stop for certain functions, meaning that they wont work without a valid license. If you are evaluating ESE contact your sales rep, they can probably provide you with a licence that will get you through evaluation.

    I have installed Try and Buy copies, and it shows the 90 day expiry date.

    At one time, even if one had a licensed copy, it was supposed to be "registered" online, but I have not seen that recently with the licenses that my company is entitled to.
