Unanswered: Parametrers in process load in db2 8.1 aix 5.3.

    good afternoon,
I have to run a data load process (load) and was wondering if there is a level parameter database that can be modified to improve the loading process?

Thank you very much and best regards.

I don't know about V8 (out of support) but increasing the util_heap_sz definitely improves LOAD with 9.7 (enables the use of parallel load processes if you have enough CPU cores and util_heap_sz is set high enough).

In 9.7 at least (not sure about previous releases) the LOAD utility will do some things in parallel (for a single LOAD execution) without the need to enable intra-partition parallelism.

since v9.x the index build/create is always parallel and does not have to be defined
in v8 it was not the case and should be forced with a setting
