    Unanswered: sql1768n reason code 99 while starting the HADR

    Hi,

    I am getting the following error whilestarting the primary database of HADR:

    db2 start hadr on database sample as primary
    SQL1768N Unable to start HADR. Reason code = "99".

    Though my standby server is up with role of standby.

    my Primary server configuration is:

    db2 get db cfg |grep -i hadr

    HADR database role = STANDARD
    HADR local host name (HADR_LOCAL_HOST) = <primary server ip>
    HADR local service name (HADR_LOCAL_SVC) = 55002
    HADR remote host name (HADR_REMOTE_HOST) = <standby ip>
    HADR remote service name (HADR_REMOTE_SVC) = 55001
    HADR instance name of remote server (HADR_REMOTE_INST) = ctginst1
    HADR timeout value (HADR_TIMEOUT) = 120
    HADR log write synchronization mode (HADR_SYNCMODE) = ASYNC
    HADR peer window duration (seconds) (HADR_PEER_WINDOW) = 0




    My stand by server configuration is as under:

    HADR Status
    Role = Standby
    State = Remote catchup pending
    Synchronization mode = Async
    Connection status = Disconnected, 08/19/2012 02:20:21.391555
    Heartbeats missed = 0
    Local host = <standby ip>
    Local service = 55002
    Remote host = <primary ip>
    Remote service = 55001
    Remote instance = ctginst1
    timeout(seconds) = 120
    Log gap running average(bytes) = 1

    Kindly reply ASAP as my production system is down for HADR configuration

    Could you post the Administration Notification Log and the relevant snippet from the db2diag.log ?
    Are you using dedicated port numbers?
