Post Unanswered: Can we create MV on top of normal view??

I was working on materialized view (MV). I created a MV on a table X with FAST Refresh option. ORACLE says that we need to create MV Log on the table first before creating the MV. So I done and now MV is working fine.

Now my next requirement is to create MV on top of another view V. Can we do this in ORACLE? Can we create MV on top of normal view??

    Thanks in advance.

Absolutely yes. But: views are typically used to simplify a large complex SQL statement. This may limit your ability to use fast refresh. Depending on the SQL in the view, you might still be able to use fast refresh, in which case you will need to create a materialized view log for each of the tables that were referenced in the view V.
