    Unanswered: ShowPlan in Access 2007 Not Working

    I am trying to see showplan.out in Access 2007 Professional (ACCDB file)

    I have set the following entry.

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\12.0\ Access Connectivity Engine\Engines\Debug]
    "JETSHOWPLAN"="ON"

    I cannot find the showplan.out file.

    What am I missing?

    Daniel

    The showplan.out file is created in the folder that's defined as the default data folder in the Access settings pannel (i.e. the place wher Access opens/creates databases by default).
    Have a nice day!

    Actually, where it's created is version dependent, so says Microsoft. Have you tried using Windows Search function for the file?

    Hope this helps!

    I have looked in the default folder [My Documents].

    I also used the windows search function.

    For what it's worth I am also running Windows 7.

    On a Windows 7 machine, if my Windows login name is Sinndho, the file can be found in:
    C:\Users\Sinndho\Documents\showplan.out
    Have a nice day!
