Unanswered: Help me check what Block Size (paradox 4.5)
..my 4.5 Paradox tables use. So I can know what the maximum no. of rows in one of the tables is.
I searched this forum and found information that the max no. of rows depend on which block size and what paradox version I am running.
I am pretty sure that I am on Paradox 4.5.
I have the BDEAdmin.exe tool, but cannot seem to make this show me what block size my tables are.
I am in the unfortunate situation that I have inherited a 4.5 Paradox database, and I am not at all educated in this product.
The reason I want to know my max row no. is because during a batchjob today a table errored that it was full. I did a "Modify" - "Restructure" of the table, and this helped, but I am anxious for how long it will help.
pdox tables usually have 2k or 4k blocks.. for a level 4 or level 5 table, max table size is 128 meg or 256 meg.. for a level 7 table, it's one gig or two gig.. if a table has secondary indexes, there are issues once a table is HALF the max size..
