i m 2 months old to DB2, just started working on it. Pls suggest me the DB2 certification, wic one would be better, exam 700(DB2 UDB 8.1 family fundamentals) or exam 730(DB2 9 fundamentals) and also let me know the certification fees and information that will be helpful for me.

I suggest that with 2 months experience, you should not yet even consider sitting for either of these. Certification is for people with qualification and this takes time - much more than 2 months.

If you were able to pass the test and somehow get thru an interview, you would probably be let go because the work would be beyond your level. When an organization hires someone who is certified, they expect a certain level of expertise.

Answering test questions is far easier than dealing with actual issues that need immediate attention.

I totally agree.. the certification document does not show you know db2..
I have been working with DB2 for 30 years and there are still parts that I am missing (maybe related to my age)

Good DBAs are not formed in a week or a month. They are created little by little, day by day. Protracted and patient effort is needed to develop good DBAs.
