    Unanswered: Creating Time Alert

    hi... i currently developing a database for a company for my final project... i am suppose to create an online appointment system... i'm trying to create an alert that would pop up when 2 appointments are scheduled for the same time on the same date... any help is greatly appreciated...thxx in advance

    p.s *i have little experience and knowledge using oracle*

    So use any RDBMS that you know better than Oracle.

    Lol..i wish i cud... they outlined in the project requirements that we use oracle ... so i gotta use it... thxx for the reply though

    amm using orcale form builder to construct the forms

    A simple way to do that is to issue MESSAGE built-in; for example:
    Code:
    if <two appointments scheduled at the same time> then
       message('Your message here', acknowledge);
    end if;
    Another way, which offers more flexibility, is to utilize Forms' ALERTS (read more about them in Forms Help).
