Unanswered: Question about partition database in db2

    Hi,

I am newbie for DB2 partition environment, i have a question:

Partition database the size should be growing up to 5 TB

    1) Is there any performance issue if we create both Staging and Warehouse databases in a single instance.

    EX: db2inst1

Db2 list db directory (partition database)
    1. TIS_STG
    2. TIS_DWH

    Thanks,
    laxman..

Creating multiple database in an instance is not any different on DPF than on regular single node DB2, and there is no particular problem in doing that. The main consideration of having multiple database on a single server is the extra memory needed for each database, regardless if you have one instance or two instances.
