    Post Unanswered: Dynamic report

I have a table with 19 columns but not all have data in them, for this sample let's make it easy and say we have 5, something like this:

    Type AR TW YW AY
    "A" 7.00 1.00 0.00 0.00
    "A" 0.00 1.00 7.00 0.00
    "B" 1.00 0.00 0.00 0.00
    "B" 2.00 0.00 0.00 3.00

On the report the max combination are 4 columns. There will never be more than 4 at the same time. Running the report and select "A" should show this:

    Type AR TW YW
    "A" 7.00 1.00 0.00
    "A" 0.00 1.00 7.00
    -------------------------
    "A" 7.00 2.00 7.00

Running the same report but select "B" should show this:

    Type AR AY
    "B" 1.00 0.00
    "B" 2.00 3.00
    ---------------
    "B" 3.00 3.00

How can I do this best. I am using access 2010.

Step 1. Make different reports for the different types.

Step 2. Use a complex If statement to direct Access to generate the correct report based on the type. Alternately, use a combobox to select the type. The combobox's second column (hidden) can contain the correct report to generate. This might be more efficient, if you know how to do it. If not, consult the Help. It's excellent.
