You need to use proper Topic Title/Subject. "help me" is nonsense.

    index spoiled from db2 catalog
What does this mean? Meat or milk spoils after a while unrefrigerated - how does an index spoil?

In addition to using a proper title, you also need to use standard terminology so we all have the same undrstanding. If you feel it necessary to make up terms, you then need to defne them.

When you have basic questions such as you have posted multiple times, you need to do the research and then post here to confirm if you have learned correctly. If there is something in the material that is not clear to you, post what you found and your doubt.

Someone should be able to clarify.

It is completely inappropriate to ask over and over for someone to read the manuals for you.

    new to db2

Hello, I am new to db2 (and rdms) and trying to quickly learn its features and functionality and the maintenance of the databases. I will be reading the posts and trying to pick up new information. Thanks in advance for the help I am sure to receive.

When you have something to ask or present, you should start a new topic for your post.

You should not reply to some unelated topic that has been terribly named . . .

If you are completely new and want a "jump start", suggest you enroll in an IBM DB2 class.

Good luck and enjoy the forum!
