Unanswered: DB2 on Win upgrade using db2admin?

I have v9.7 FP5 on Windows, need to upgrade to FP6. Is it ok to use db2admin to install the fixpack or should I use some other ID with admin rights?

Why not Use the same account you used to install the original DB2 v9.7 ?

If you are using DPF, you must use a domain-admin-account.

If the machine is standalone (not a member of a domain) or if the db2 services are running with either localsystem or local-user accounts, you need local Admin rights on the account that performs the installation.

If any DB2-services are running with a domain-account credentials, use a domain admin account to install the fixpack.

    Standalone machine; single-partitioned instance.

I want to use the same ID to do pre/post and FP install. I could use my own ID to install the FP (if I can reset my password, haven't logged in since installing db2).

But is it ok to use db2admin to install the fixpack (assuming it has local admin rights)? I don't see why not.

You should be OK to use db2admin if it has local admin rights, particularly if your original installation allowed DB2 to create that account for you.
