Unanswered: query search for a Period

My table of data has text data like "xx-111.1" I can't get my query to show all the records where there is a "." (period) in the record. I have tried about everything. Any ideas? Criteria Like "%[.]%" does not work.

    A Criteria of

    InStr([FieldName],".")>0

    or

    InStr([FieldName],Chr(46))> 0

    works for me!

    Hope this helps!

    like "%.%"
or if you are not using SQL compatability mode
    like "*.*"
I'd rather be riding on the Tiger 800 or the Norton

I couldn't get your code to run, yesterday; go figure! As I've said before, the Access Gnomes are a fickle lot!

    Good luck with your project!
