Unanswered: IMPDP in Oracle 11g XE

    Hi,

I have a client database on a remote server.
I take a daily export dump of this database.

Now, I have created a new Oracle 11g XE database on my local machine. I want to import that dump in this XE database.

I will ftp the dump file to local machine and all ... no isssues about that.

I just want to know will import in XE database be successful? I mean, can we import data in XE database ?

    Yes, you can do that.
I will not read nor answer questions where the SQL code is messy and not formatted properly using [code] tags: http://www.dbforums.com/misc.php?do=bbcode#code

I got many errors such as SYSTEM objects already exists n all.

ORA-31684: Object type SYNONYM:"SYSTEM"."PRODUCT_USER_PROFILE" already exists
    Processing object type DATABASE_EXPORT/SCHEMA/TYPE/TYPE_SPEC
ORA-31684: Object type TYPE:"SYSTEM"."REPCAT$_OBJECT_NULL_VECTOR" already exists
    Processing object type DATABASE_EXPORT/SYSTEM_PROCOBJACT/PRE_SYSTEM_ACTIONS/PROCACT_SYSTEM
    Processing object type DATABASE_EXPORT/SYSTEM_PROCOBJACT/PROCOBJ
ORA-39083: Object type PROCOBJ failed to create with error:
    ORA-29357: object AUTO_TASK_CONSUMER_GROUP already exists

Also, got below platform specific error:

ORA-23327: imported deferred rpc data does not match GLOBAL NAME and platform of importing db

    Please suggest.

    And what is the problem?
Why do you import SYSTEM objects anyway? You should only import the user-level stuff. Check out the "SCHEMAS" option for impdp to select only those that you need.

I think I got the solution. I did schema level impdp. It worked.
