Unanswered: About migrating from Oracle to PostgreSQL

    Hi,
I'm new on PostgreSQL and as the company I work in is thinking of migrating from Oracle to PostgreSQL, I've read something about the difficulties which we might meet (for example in PL/SQL vs. PL/pgSQL).
Can someone help me according to his/her own experiences about that?
We're evaluating the cost of such a migration above all in terms of redecoding all the stored procedures written in PL/SQL.
Thanks in advance for each information!
    Marco

i am aware of such a situation, well all i can say is

    - postgres is not glamourous, but it surely works and is cost effective
    - keep checking / searching in dbforums , it has answers for almost all common scenarios
    - ,,subscribe to pg forums at postgresql.org/community (it has lists divided into subject)
    - pgadmin is a postgres utility that is a must on the Desk, has everything on it including option to run psql
