Unanswered: Dynamic CPU additions on DPF - reg

Normally, during DB2 installation, the DBM parameters (CPUSPEED) are updated based on system hardware configuration. Now, given that over time the workload has increased... so number of CPU needs to be augmented. In this situation, we know that new CPUs will be utilized by DB2 engine - after addition without any DB configuration change.

However, the question is about providing this new information (on additional CPUs made available) to the DB2 optimizer.

Is there any binding, DBM/DB parameter change, etc., required after addition of CPU to existing DB2 DPF environment?

    Thanks in advance.

    Plz try db2pd -osinfo。
it will tell you wether db2 has identified the new cpu。
