    Unanswered: DB2 Memory Management Question

I am new to DB2 and trying to understand the memory model of DB2.

I have noticed that the parameters in the DB cfg files have 4KB written to it. for example.

    Size of database shared memory (4KB) (DATABASE_MEMORY) = 786432

Does this mean that the number 786432 indicates a number of 4KB blocks and the actual memory assigned to DB in (4 *786432 ) KB..

Also the amount of bufferpool pages and sort memory is taken from the database memory ???

    Yes and yes.
"It does not work" is not a valid problem statement.
