Unanswered: Copy data in the same tables itself

    Dears,

I have a requirement to make copy of a set of data i.e. within the tables. I have around 50 tables in hierarchy of 4 levels. There is huge data in these tables. The main (parent) record is one which holds several million rows in it's child tables. I need to make copy of the row set in all the tables, the glitch is the PK-FK IDs which needs to be generated and linked in all the corresponding child tables in hierarchy. If you ever come across such requirement and have a solution would be really great. Thanks very much in advance. Please let me know if something is unclear.

    export & import
You can lead some folks to knowledge, but you can not make them think.

This won't work dear as the PK IDs needs to be updated all over as it is the same table which is a tedious job and the core of this problem.
