Unanswered: When to run REORG TABLE

    Hallo everyone,

In my ddl-file, I have compressed my date by running "COMPRESS YES". Thus, there is a dictionary in the system catalogue.

Now I am about to load some more datas in the table and would like to "REORG TABLE", in order to update or rebuild the dictionary.

I think, this is a very simple question:
Should I actually have to run REORG command each time I LOAD new datas? Or should the REORG command be built in my ddl-file?

    Thank you everyone.

    Regards,
    Ratna

I think you need to run a REORG to re-create the compression dictionary only if you notice that the compression ratio decreases over time.

It will not (unless you replace all data), and it is not necessary.

I am dealing with datawarehouse, which is loaded regulary, I definitely need the REORG command, so that the dictionary will be "updated" each time datas got loaded.
